The 3M 7100067076 is a coated abrasive disc roll featuring 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain technology. Each triangular ceramic mineral is engineered to slice through material rather than plow or gouge, producing faster stock removal with less heat buildup. The discs measure 6 inches in diameter and carry a 180 grit rating, making them suited for finishing passes and surface preparation on metal, wood, and composite substrates. The roll format uses a Stikita pressure-sensitive attachment system, which allows quick disc changes without handling individual liners. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators in metal fabrication, automotive body, and general manufacturing use this product for high-volume grinding and finishing work.
This disc roll is designed for stock removal and surface finishing applications across a broad range of substrates. The 180 grit level targets intermediate to fine material removal, appropriate for blending welds, smoothing surfaces, and preparing workpieces for coating or inspection. The roll format is particularly efficient in production environments where disc changeover time affects throughput. Each roll ships with multiple discs pre-stacked, eliminating the need to peel individual backing liners during operation.
Designed for use with 6 inch backup pads equipped with a Stikita-compatible pressure-sensitive attachment interface, as used on standard right-angle and random-orbital grinders accepting 6 inch coated abrasive discs.
Disc installation and removal should be performed with the grinder powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify that the backup pad diameter and attachment type match the disc before mounting. Inspect the disc for tears or damage before each use and do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the tool or disc. Follow applicable workplace safety standards and PPE requirements when operating grinding equipment.
