The 3M 7100060396 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing in industrial and metalworking applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the abrasive pyramids wear down during use, fresh, sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This self-renewing action delivers a consistent cut rate and a predictable finish from the first pass to the last, making it well suited for automated and robotic finishing lines as well as manual belt grinding operations.
This belt measures 30 inches in length and 1 inch in width, making it compatible with standard narrow-belt finishing machines. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece surfaces, producing uniform finishes on curved or irregular geometries. It is designed for use prior to plating, buffing, or other final surface treatments where a controlled, fine finish is required. Metalworking shops, aerospace fabricators, and industrial finishing operations are typical end users. Each belt is sold individually.
