The 3M 7100054081 is a silicon carbide deburring disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal, composites, and other hard surfaces. The disc measures 6 inches in diameter with a 5/8 inch center arbor hole, and it is rated to a maximum of 4000 RPM. Graded as very coarse, it is built for heavy deburring, edge conditioning, and surface preparation tasks where fast stock removal is the priority. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians typically use this disc in production and job-shop environments.
This deburring disc suits applications involving ferrous and non-ferrous metals where burrs, sharp edges, or surface scale must be quickly removed before finishing or assembly. The silicon carbide abrasive cuts aggressively on harder materials and provides a consistent scratch pattern. It mounts via a standard arbor connection, making it compatible with bench grinders and angle grinders equipped with a 5/8 inch arbor. It is sold individually as a single disc per package.
Designed for use with bench grinders and angle grinders fitted with a 5/8 inch arbor spindle. Confirm that the host tool does not exceed the 4000 RPM maximum rating of this disc before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator familiar with abrasive disc mounting procedures. Power down and lockout the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never operate above the rated maximum RPM. Eye protection and appropriate personal protective equipment are required during operation per ANSI and applicable shop safety standards.
