The aluminum oxide abrasive cuts at 36 grit, placing it firmly in the very coarse grade range — suited for grinding welds, shaping metal, removing rust, and stripping coatings. The PSA mount system attaches directly to compatible backup pads without fasteners or hooks, keeping the setup simple and the disc change fast. At 5 inches in diameter, it fits standard disc tools common in trade shops and service vehicles.

This disc is intended for use on bench-top motors and random orbital sanders equipped with a PSA-compatible backup pad. Installation Notes

Worn or glazed backup pads should be replaced before using a fresh disc to ensure proper adhesion and safe operation.
