The 3M 7100050303 is a Cubitron II Roloc Fibre Disc in the 987C series, engineered for heavy-duty metalworking. It uses 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) on a stiff fiber backing to deliver fast, aggressive material removal with less operator pressure. The PSG geometry maintains sharp cutting points throughout the disc life, reducing heat buildup at the workpiece surface. A built-in grinding aid further controls grinding temperatures, making this disc a practical choice for heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium. Licensed tradespeople and metal fabricators working in industrial or shop environments will find the disc changes quickly with the Roloc attachment system.
This disc is suited for weld grinding, beveling, and flame-cut edge clean-up on metal surfaces in both production and maintenance settings. The 3-inch diameter and 60-grit specification target fast stock removal on tight weld joints, pipe bevels, and structural steel edges. The fiber backing and strong resin bond resist tearing under the high-pressure contact loads typical in these applications. It is sold individually and carries a UPC of 00051125949583.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and disc holders that accept 3-inch quick-change fibre discs. Suitable for weld grinding, beveling, and flame-cut edge clean-up on ferrous and non-ferrous metals including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium.
Metal fabricators and maintenance welders install this disc onto a Roloc-compatible disc pad mounted to a right-angle grinder. Confirm the grinder RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc RPM rating before mounting. Wear appropriate PPE including face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during grinding operations. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and never use a disc that shows cuts, tears, or signs of moisture damage.
