The 3M 7100046796 is a pair of CCS protective safety glasses featuring a clear anti-fog polycarbonate lens with a +1.5 reading diopter. The lens absorbs 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays and wraps around the face to maximize the field of view and coverage area. The CCS (Corded Earplug Control System) temple design holds a corded earplug securely in place, allowing the cord to serve as a lanyard. An optional foam gasket attachment limits eye exposure to nuisance dust and adds cushioning around the frame. Contoured temples seat firmly without pressure points or unwanted movement during use. These glasses meet ANSI Z87.1-2015 and CSA Z94.3 requirements and are suited for installation and maintenance professionals working in environments with airborne particles, UV exposure, or fine-detail tasks.
These safety glasses are used across a wide range of trades and industries including construction, aviation, chemicals, food and beverage, general manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, primary metals, and transportation. Recommended task applications include chipping, chiseling, drilling, grinding, machining, masonry, pouring and casting, power fastening, riveting, sanding, and sawing. Workers engaged in small detail work or who have difficulty reading small print benefit from the built-in +1.5 reading diopter. The foam gasket option makes these glasses suitable for dusty environments where standard open-frame eyewear is insufficient.
Designed for use with 3M-compatible corded earplugs that work with the CCS temple retention system. Confirm eyewear suitability with your site safety specialist before use in specific industrial hazard environments, as some operations may require additional face shields, filter lenses, or machine guards.
Safety eyewear should be inspected for lens damage, frame integrity, and proper fit before each use. Clean lenses with appropriate lens-safe solutions only — abrasive materials will degrade the anti-fog coating. Do not use this eyewear as the sole means of protection in operations requiring specialized filter lenses, goggles, or face shields. Consult your supervisor or site safety officer to confirm that this eyewear meets the protection requirements for the specific hazards present in your workplace.
