The 3M 7100045693 is a coated abrasive paper disc roll in the Cubitrona II line, designed for high-speed stock removal across a wide range of industrial and trade applications. Built with 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, this disc uses a triangular-shaped mineral that slices through substrate material rather than gouging or plowing like conventional abrasives. The result is a disc that cuts up to two times faster and lasts up to four times longer than standard abrasive discs. At 120 grit, it delivers controlled material removal suitable for surface prep, blending, and finishing work on metal and other substrates. The roll format ships with a Stikita attachment backing for fast, tool-free disc changes.
This disc roll is suited for use in fabrication shops, metalworking environments, and general industrial settings where consistent stock removal performance is required. The 6-inch diameter fits standard random orbital and disc sanders equipped for Stikita-style attachment. The roll configuration eliminates the need to peel individual disc liners, reducing downtime during disc changes. Applications include weld blending, surface conditioning, and preparation of steel, aluminum, and similar substrates prior to coating or finishing. This product is sold by the roll with a minimum quantity of four rolls per order.
Designed for use with random orbital sanders and disc tools that accept 6-inch Stikita-style attachment discs in coated abrasive applications.
Disc changes should be made with the sander powered off and unplugged or, for pneumatic tools, with the air supply disconnected. Ensure the backing pad is clean and free of debris before attaching each disc to maintain proper adhesion. Follow all applicable workplace safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection when operating abrasive tools.
