The 3M 7100044155 is a flexible diamond QRS cloth disc engineered for aggressive material removal on hard-to-grind surfaces including stone, glass, ceramics, carbides, and composites. The disc uses micron-graded diamond mineral bonded with a metal bond system, delivering consistent scratch patterns and repeatable cut rates across demanding applications. An open dot mineral pattern keeps swarf and debris moving away from the work surface, reducing loading and extending usable disc life. The semi-flexible backing allows the disc to conform to edges and contours without losing cutting efficiency. This disc is installed and used by fabricators, machinists, and trade professionals working with specialty hard materials.
This disc is suited for grinding, finishing, and shaping operations on hard materials in both shop and field environments. The quick-release QRS attachment system allows fast disc changes on compatible random orbital and disc sanders. The 5 inch diameter and 1 inch arbor configuration fits standard tool setups common in stone fabrication, glass work, and composite machining. It is sold individually and is appropriate where consistent, controlled material removal on difficult substrates is required.
Designed for use with QRS-compatible random orbital disc sanders and grinders accepting a 5 inch diameter disc with a 1 inch arbor.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the tool powered off and disconnected from its power source. Ensure the tool spindle speed does not exceed the rated maximum for the disc before operation. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when handling diamond abrasive discs and during grinding operations. Inspect the disc for damage or wear before each use and replace if the diamond surface is depleted or the backing is compromised.
