Sold in a 1/2-inch-wide by 60-yard roll, this 9.5-mil orange-backed tape delivers an adhesion-to-steel rating of 69 oz. per inch width and a tensile strength of 49 lbs. per inch width. The paper backing resists tearing and performs in moist environments. Rated for continuous use up to 300 degrees F, it suits high-temperature masking and industrial bundling tasks. Licensed tradespeople and maintenance technicians in manufacturing, HVAC, and general industrial settings are the typical installers.
This tape is used in applications where a colored backing aids identification or visual inspection — the orange backing makes it easy to confirm tape placement and removal. It is well suited for high-temperature masking during powder coating, automotive refinishing prep, and industrial manufacturing processes. It is also used for splicing paper or film materials and for holding components during assembly. The tape is not recommended for outdoor or UV-exposed applications. Its low elongation at break of 2 percent makes it appropriate for clean, straight-line masking where dimensional stability of the tape edge matters.
