The 3M 7100034432 is a multiple-wall, semi-rigid heat shrink tubing designed for secure, moisture-resistant wire and cable terminations. Built from co-extruded polyolefin with a 2.5:1 shrink ratio, it features an integral meltable inner wall that flows into voids and bonds to irregular surfaces during heat application, creating a watertight seal. Each stick measures 48 inches in length and is suitable for use over 3/8-inch diameter applications. Electrical contractors, HVAC technicians, and marine or industrial electricians install this tubing where a single-wall product does not provide adequate environmental or mechanical protection.
This tubing is used in residential and commercial wiring applications where splices, terminations, and connectors require strain relief and sealed protection against moisture, chemicals, or corrosion. The semi-rigid construction maintains shape after shrinkage, making it well suited for exposed or bundled conductor runs in control panels, junction boxes, and service entry points. The black color aids in UV identification on exposed runs. It comes supplied in 48-inch sticks with a minimum order quantity of 125 pieces per case.

Installation is performed by electricians and HVAC technicians following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink over conductors or terminations. Use a calibrated heat gun set to the appropriate temperature range for polyolefin tubing, applying heat evenly from the center outward to prevent air entrapment. Avoid open flame as a heat source, as it can scorch or unevenly shrink the tubing and compromise the inner wall seal.
