The 3M 7100030003 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing supplied on a 100-foot spool. Designated as FP-301, this tubing is engineered to deliver a reliable balance of electrical insulation, physical durability, and chemical resistance. It is clear in color and sized at 3/16 inch nominal diameter before shrinkage. Electricians, harness builders, and industrial maintenance technicians use FP-301 tubing to insulate, bundle, and protect wire terminations, splices, and component leads across a broad range of industrial and military-grade applications.
FP-301 thin-wall heat shrink tubing is suited for use in industrial wiring, panel builds, military equipment assembly, and electrical maintenance work. The clear jacket allows visual inspection of the underlying conductor or splice after installation. The 100-foot spool format is practical for bench work and field service alike, reducing waste and improving handling compared to cut-to-length pieces. Minimum case quantity is 300 feet.
Designed for general-purpose electrical insulation and wire protection in industrial and military wiring applications where a thin-wall, 3/16 inch heat shrink sleeve is specified.
Heat shrink tubing of this type is installed by licensed electricians or trained wiring technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before working on any conductors or terminations. Apply heat evenly using a heat gun rated for heat shrink work, moving continuously along the tubing length to avoid scorching. Do not use an open flame as a heat source, as uneven heat can damage the tubing or the underlying insulation.
