The 3M 7100024055 is a two-part, non-sag, toughened MMA-based acrylic adhesive supplied in a 45 mL cartridge. It uses a 10:1 mix ratio and provides approximately 10 minutes of working time after mixing, with handling strength typically reached in around 25 minutes. The green color aids visual confirmation of proper mixing. Suitable for structural bonding applications, this adhesive delivers high impact resistance and bonds to a wide range of plastics and metals, including surfaces with light oil contamination. It is applied using a dispensing applicator with appropriate mix nozzles and plungers, which are sold separately.
This adhesive is used in industrial, maintenance, and trade applications where a fast-setting, impact-resistant structural bond is required. It is well suited for bonding dissimilar materials, including plastics and metals encountered in HVAC equipment fabrication, electrical enclosure assembly, and general mechanical assembly work. The non-sag formulation makes it practical for vertical and overhead surfaces. Installers and technicians working with metal brackets, plastic housings, or composite components will find it applicable across multiple trade disciplines.
Designed for use with 3M Scotch-Weld EPX Plus II Applicator with appropriate mix nozzles and plungers, sold separately. Compatible with a wide range of plastics and metals as a structural bonding adhesive.
Application requires a compatible 10:1 ratio EPX-style dual-cartridge dispensing applicator along with the correct mix nozzle for the cartridge size. Ensure surfaces are clean and free of heavy contamination before dispensing. Discard the initial bead from the mix nozzle before applying adhesive to the work surface to confirm proper mixing. Follow all applicable safety data sheet guidance, including ventilation requirements, when working with MMA-based adhesives in confined spaces.
