The 3M 7100021077 is a Dual Lock reclosable fastener strip in the TB3540 configuration, featuring a 250/250 stem density (250 stems per square inch on each mating surface) and a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. Made from black polypropylene, the strip measures 1 inch wide by 10 feet long and delivers an engaged thickness of 0.23 inches when closed. Rated for up to 1,000 closure cycles, it is suited for repeated attach-and-release applications where a secure mechanical fastening solution is needed indoors. Installation requires no tools beyond cutting to length and pressing the adhesive side firmly to the substrate.
This fastener strip is intended for indoor use across a wide range of assembly, mounting, and panel-attachment applications. It performs in low-temperature environments and is rated to withstand up to 120 degrees F. The adhesive is formulated to bond to many plastics including acrylic, polycarbonate, and ABS, as well as powder-coated painted surfaces and low surface energy materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene. Typical applications include securing access panels, cable management covers, instrument housings, and similar components where tool-free removal and reattachment is required.
Designed for bonding to acrylic, polycarbonate, and ABS plastics, powder-coated painted surfaces, and low surface energy materials including polypropylene and polyethylene. Intended for indoor use only.
Clean and dry the substrate surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive backing to ensure maximum bond strength. Press the adhesive side firmly to the mounting surface and allow adequate dwell time before loading. Cut the strip to the required length using scissors or a utility knife. This fastener is rated for indoor use only and should not be installed in outdoor or high-humidity environments where the adhesive bond may be compromised.
