The 3M 7100020313 is a coated abrasive cloth belt designed for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing operations on metal surfaces. Built on a tough polyester backing, this belt uses aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded with a heat-resistant resin coating. The result is a belt that holds up under pressure, elevated heat, and wet conditions. At 60 inches long and 37 inches wide with a P150 grit rating, it is suited for medium-finish work on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including stainless steel. Metal fabricators and finishing shops rely on this belt for consistent, repeatable results across production runs.
This belt is commonly used in stainless steel coil finishing lines, sheet metal fabrication, and backstand or centerless grinding applications. Its flexibility and heat resistance make it a practical choice for both wet and dry environments. The P150 grit level targets intermediate finishing stages where stock removal needs to be balanced with surface smoothness. It is sold in units of each and typically purchased in minimum quantities for production use.
Designed for use on backstand, centerless, and coil finishing equipment configured for 60-inch by 37-inch abrasive cloth belts. Suitable for use on all metals, including stainless steel.
Belt installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and locked out before changing belts. Verify belt tracking and tension per the equipment manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage before each use and do not exceed the rated operating speed of the machine.
