The 3M 7100014112 is a non-woven Roloc surface conditioning disc designed for cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring metal and other surfaces. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive on an open-web, non-woven fiber construction, this disc mounts via the Roloc quick-change attachment system and spins at up to 30000 RPM. The 1.5-inch diameter makes it well suited for tight spots and contoured workpieces. The conformable fiber matrix flexes to follow irregular surface profiles without gouging, delivering consistent finishes on curved or uneven geometry. Licensed tradespeople and fabricators in HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical trades rely on this type of disc for prep and finishing work during installation and equipment fabrication.
This disc is used in applications that require surface prep on metal components, including deburring cut pipe ends, blending weld seams, and cleaning oxidized or scaled surfaces before sealing or coating. The compact 1.5-inch diameter is practical for use in restricted-access areas common in mechanical system installations. It is suited for light to moderate stock removal and final surface conditioning passes where a consistent finish is required without aggressive material removal.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible quick-change mandrels and rotary tools that accept the standard Roloc twist-lock attachment system.
Installation of this disc requires a Roloc-compatible mandrel mounted in a die grinder or right-angle tool rated at or above the disc maximum speed. Confirm the tool RPM rating does not exceed 30000 RPM before mounting. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety practices when operating abrasive discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use a disc that shows tears, fraying, or delamination.
