The 3M 7100011352 is a heavy-wall, flame-retardant heat shrinkable cable sleeve designed to protect electrical splices, connections, and terminations in demanding applications. Constructed from cross-linked polyolefin, this sleeve provides mechanical and environmental protection while remaining highly split resistant. Each sleeve measures 48 inches in length and is factory-applied with an adhesive sealant for a secure, moisture-resistant seal upon shrinking. The product covers conductors in the 250 to 750 MCM range and is rated to MIL-DTL-23053/15, Class 1. Fast shrink characteristics speed up installation time on the job site.
This cable sleeve is suited for commercial and industrial electrical work where conductor splices, terminations, and connections require durable insulation and environmental sealing. Typical applications include medium-voltage cable work, large-conductor splicing, and installations requiring flame-retardant protection. The sleeve ships in its expanded state; select the size matching the expanded inside diameter of the conductor or splice assembly being protected. Sold individually; minimum order quantity is 10 units per case.
Designed for use with electrical conductors and splice assemblies in the 250 to 750 MCM range. Select this sleeve size based on the expanded inside diameter required for the specific conductor or splice configuration being serviced.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any splice or termination work. Apply heat evenly along the sleeve using an appropriate heat gun, working from the center outward to prevent air entrapment under the sleeve. Do not exceed the maximum rated shrink temperature specified by the manufacturer or apply an open flame directly to the material.
