The 3M 7100010164 is a convolute deburring wheel designed for aggressive surface conditioning and edge deburring on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a fine grade and density 7 hard construction, this wheel delivers consistent cut and finish on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The convolute construction layers abrasive material in a wound configuration, providing a firm, uniform contact face. At 8 inches in diameter with a 2-inch face width and a 3-inch center hole, it mounts to standard arbors used in production grinding and finishing applications. Maximum operating speed is 4,500 RPM. This wheel is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and metal fabrication professionals.
This deburring wheel fits a wide range of production and manual finishing equipment. Tooling compatibility includes backstands, manual backstands, pressure assist backstands, centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, and robotic finishing systems. It is suited for high-volume deburring operations in industrial shops, precision machining environments, and automated finishing cells where consistent edge treatment and surface conditioning are required across repeated cycles.
Designed for use on backstands, manual backstands, pressure assist backstands, centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, and robotic finishing systems with a 3-inch arbor bore.
This wheel is installed by qualified machinists or finishing technicians on appropriate grinding and sanding equipment. Always power down and de-energize the machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Verify the spindle speed rating of the host machine does not exceed the 4,500 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and follow applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards for abrasive wheel mounting and operation.
