The 3M 7100008081 is a transparent UHMW (ultra-high-molecular-weight) polyethylene film tape in the 3M 5423 series, designed for noise reduction, vibration damping, and surface protection in demanding industrial and trade applications. It features a 10.0 mil UHMW polyethylene backing bonded with a rubber-based adhesive on a paper liner, resulting in a total thickness of 11.7 mil. The low coefficient of friction combined with strong abrasion resistance makes this tape a practical solution where surfaces experience repeated contact, sliding, or impact.
