The 3M 7100006575 is a 4-inch ceramic fiber disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal, weld seams, and other hard surfaces. Part of the 982C Series, it uses a very coarse 36-grit ceramic abrasive bonded with a resinoid bond to a fiber backing. The ceramic grain cuts fast, runs cool, and fractures during use to expose fresh cutting edges, extending disc life compared to aluminum oxide alternatives. It attaches via a TR Quick Change mount and is rated for a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM. Metal fabricators, grinders, and HVAC sheet metal technicians are the primary users.

This disc is suited for grinding, deburring, and weld blending on ferrous metals in both shop and field environments. The TR Quick Change attachment allows fast disc swaps on compatible angle grinders and die grinders without additional tools, reducing downtime during production or service work. The very coarse 36-grit rating makes it most effective as an aggressive stock removal disc rather than a finishing disc. It is sold individually.
