The 3M 7012817701 is a full-body climbing and positioning safety harness engineered for workers operating at height in construction, industrial, and utility environments. Built with 6,000-pound-rated polyester webbing and robust alloy steel hardware, this harness is designed for durability under demanding jobsite conditions. Nylon and polyester hybrid comfort padding reduces pressure points during extended wear. The anti-slide dorsal D-ring plate minimizes unwanted D-ring migration, keeping the attachment point properly positioned throughout the workday. This is a size 2X configuration. Licensed professionals working under fall protection programs will find this harness suitable for both climbing and work-positioning applications.
This harness is intended for use in residential and commercial construction, tower climbing, industrial maintenance, and similar elevated-work environments. It ships as an individual unit and is sized for larger-framed workers requiring a 2X fit. The integrated SRL adapter simplifies connection and disconnection of personal self-retracting lifelines without the need for additional hardware. Suspension trauma relief straps are included to support post-fall circulation while awaiting rescue, a requirement on many regulated worksites.
Designed as an OEM-style full-body harness for climbing and positioning applications; compatible with standard dorsal and sternal anchor connections used with personal self-retracting lifelines and lanyards.
Harness fitting and inspection should be performed by a competent person as defined under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502 and applicable ANSI Z359 standards. Inspect all webbing, hardware, and stitching before each use and remove from service if damage, chemical exposure, or fall arrest loading is detected. Do not alter, cut, or add attachments to the webbing. After any fall arrest event, retire the harness from service immediately and do not return it to use.
