The 3M 7010519575 is a Cubitron II series abrasive cloth belt engineered for aggressive material removal on metal, stainless steel, and hard alloys. Built on a YF-weight polyester cloth backing, this belt combines flexibility with durability to handle demanding grinding and finishing applications. The 984F series uses Precision Shaped Ceramic abrasive grain, which continually fractures to expose sharp cutting edges, maintaining consistent cut rates throughout the belt's life. At 80 plus grit, it removes stock quickly while leaving a surface ready for secondary finishing steps. Licensed trades and fabrication shops rely on this belt for consistent, repeatable results on power file sanders, bench belt grinders, and inline machines.
This belt is suited for metal fabrication, weld blending, pipe and tube grinding, and deburring operations in both shop and field environments. The 0.5-inch by 72-inch dimension fits narrow-contact belt tools commonly used for detail work, tight radii, and contour grinding on structural components. The Film-lok splice construction provides a low-profile, strong joint that minimizes vibration and snag risk during operation. Single-flex treatment allows the belt to conform to curved surfaces without cracking the backing. The case quantity of 200 belts supports high-volume production environments where belt change frequency is elevated.
Designed for use on narrow-contact power file sanders, bench belt grinders, and inline belt grinding machines that accept 0.5-inch by 72-inch abrasive belts.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by qualified machine operators following the tool manufacturer's procedures. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and de-energized before mounting or removing abrasive belts. Inspect the contact wheel, platen, and tracking mechanism before installing a new belt; damaged components accelerate belt wear and can cause premature failure. Always verify belt tracking and tension before returning the tool to service.
