The 3M 7010398987 is a polyolefin heat shrink sleeve designed for insulating, sealing, and protecting wire splices, cable terminations, and conduit connections in electrical and industrial applications. Starting at 2 inches inside diameter before shrinking and recovering to 0.65 inches after, the 4:1 shrink ratio makes it well suited for covering irregular shapes, stepped diameters, and bunched conductors. The sleeve measures 12 inches in overall length and is rated for continuous operation from -67 degrees F to 230 degrees F. Activation begins at a shrink temperature of 249.80 degrees F. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.

This sleeve is used in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work where a high-ratio shrink product is needed to protect cables, splices, or mechanical connections from abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and UV exposure.
