The 3M 7010398852 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing from the EPS-300 series, designed for environmental protection and electrical insulation on wire splices, terminations, and exposed conductors. Each stick measures 48 inches in length with a 1/2 inch pre-shrink diameter. The EPS-300 construction provides a reliable barrier against moisture, abrasion, and contaminants in wiring applications. This tubing is suited for use by electricians and low-voltage installers working on harness assemblies, panel wiring, and field-service wire repairs across residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
This heat shrink tubing is used wherever insulated wire protection is required after splicing or terminating conductors. Typical applications include control panel wiring, HVAC low-voltage harnesses, electrical enclosures, and automotive or equipment wiring repairs. The clear jacket allows visual inspection of the conductor or splice beneath after installation. Each order unit is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 624 pieces and a case pack of 24 sticks available.
Designed as a general-purpose OEM-style heat shrink sleeve for use on electrical conductors, wire splices, and terminations where thin-wall insulation and environmental protection are required.
Installation is performed by electricians or qualified low-voltage technicians. De-energize the circuit completely before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or splice. Use a heat gun set to the appropriate temperature for the EPS-300 material — do not use an open flame. Slide tubing over the conductor before making the splice or termination, then position and shrink in place after the connection is complete.
