The 3M 7010396864 is a heavy-duty heat shrinkable end cap designed to seal cable ends and provide reliable protection against moisture, mechanical stress, and environmental exposure. Manufactured from semi-rigid, flame-retardant, cross-linked polyolefin, the SKE series end cap is built for demanding applications where standard end caps may fall short. Each cap is supplied with a factory-applied adhesive lining that activates during the heat-shrink process to create a secure environmental seal. This end cap fits cable diameters ranging from 0.16 to 0.31 inches and is supplied in black. It is suited for use by licensed electricians and experienced electrical technicians working in industrial, commercial, or utility environments.
This end cap is intended for sealing exposed or terminated cable ends in heavy-duty electrical and wiring applications. The cross-linked polyolefin construction and internal adhesive lining make it well suited for installations where long-term moisture exclusion and mechanical protection are required. Six different sizes across the SKE product family accommodate a broad range of cable diameters, and the black color provides UV resistance in outdoor or exposed installations. Each case contains 50 end caps per the SKE-4/10/Black configuration.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician. De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before applying end caps to any cable termination. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for cable termination and sealing requirements.
