The 3M 7010396264 is a flame-resistant, thin-wall heat shrink tubing sold on a 100-foot spool in a 1.5-inch diameter and black finish. Based on the FP-301VW series, it carries the same balanced electrical, physical, and chemical properties as standard FP-301 tubing while adding superior flame resistance for demanding applications. Rated for continuous operation from -55 degrees F to 275 degrees F, it can also withstand brief exposure to temperatures up to 572 degrees F. Minimum shrink temperature is 212 degrees F. Electricians and low-voltage technicians use this tubing for wire bundling, insulation, and environmental protection in installations where flame spread must be controlled.
This tubing is suited for commercial and industrial electrical work, panel wiring, wire harness fabrication, and cable management in environments that require flame-retardant materials. The spool format makes it practical for bench work and repetitive production runs where cut-to-length flexibility matters. It is appropriate for use in conduit, junction boxes, and exposed wiring runs where code or specification calls for flame-resistant sleeving.
Designed as a flame-resistant thin-wall heat shrink sleeving for general electrical wiring, wire splices, terminal insulation, and cable bundling applications requiring UL-recognized flame-retardant tubing.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified low-voltage technicians. De-energize and lock out all circuits before applying tubing to any wiring. Use a calibrated heat gun rather than an open flame to reach the 212 degrees F minimum shrink temperature; uneven or excessive heat can split or char the tubing. Refer to applicable NEC requirements for flame-retardant sleeving in the jurisdiction of installation.
