The 3M 7010396223 is a flame-resistant heat shrink tubing sold on a 200-foot spool, designated FP-301VW in the 3/4-inch diameter size in black. It shares the same core balance of electrical, physical, and chemical properties as standard FP-301 tubing while adding superior flame resistance for demanding electrical applications. The tubing is rated for continuous operation from -55 degrees C (-67 degrees F) to 135 degrees C (275 degrees F), and it withstands elevated temperatures up to 300 degrees C (572 degrees F) for brief periods. The minimum shrink temperature is 100 degrees C (212 degrees F). Electricians and electrical contractors use this tubing to insulate, bundle, and protect wiring and terminations where flame resistance is required.
FP-301VW tubing is suited for commercial and industrial electrical installations where insulation integrity and flame resistance are priorities. Typical applications include wire harnessing, terminal insulation, and cable bundling in panel wiring, control enclosures, and industrial equipment. The 200-foot spool format supports production and service environments where large quantities are consumed regularly. It is appropriate for both light commercial and heavy industrial electrical work performed by licensed electricians and qualified electrical technicians.
Designed as an OEM-style heat shrink solution for general electrical insulation, wire bundling, and termination protection across residential, commercial, and industrial wiring applications.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical technicians. De-energize all circuits before applying heat shrink tubing to any conductor or termination. A calibrated heat gun is the recommended tool for controlled shrinking — open flame sources risk overheating the tubing and damaging adjacent conductors. Follow applicable NEC requirements for insulation ratings and installation environment when selecting this tubing for a specific circuit.
