The 3M 7010383555 is a flame resistant woven nylon loop reclosable fastener tape supplied in a 3/4 inch wide by 50 yard roll in beige. It uses a synthetic rubber based pressure sensitive adhesive that bonds to paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. The tape meets F.A.R. 25.853 paragraph (a)(1)(i) for the 60 second vertical burn test, making it suitable for aircraft interior and other fire-regulated applications. The loop side mates with 3M SJ3519FR hook tape to form a complete reclosable fastener system. Installers in aerospace, mass transit, and commercial construction specify this tape where flame resistance is a code requirement.
This fastener tape is used in applications where a reclosable attachment must meet flammability standards. Common uses include securing panels, covers, and insulation blankets in aircraft interiors, rail vehicles, and commercial buildings subject to fire safety codes. The aggressive rubber adhesive provides reliable adhesion across a range of substrate types encountered in these environments. It is sold in roll form and is typically applied by hand or with a tape dispenser. Minimum purchase quantity is 4 rolls per order.
Designed to mate with 3M SJ3519FR flame resistant hook fastener tape. Together the SJ3518FR loop and SJ3519FR hook form a complete reclosable fastener system for flame-regulated installations.
Surface preparation is critical before applying pressure sensitive adhesive tape. Clean and dry the substrate to remove dust, oil, and loose material before pressing the tape into place. Apply firm pressure along the full length of the tape to ensure full adhesive contact. In regulated environments such as aircraft or transit interiors, verify that the installed fastener assembly meets the applicable flammability requirements before returning the assembly to service.
