The 3M 7010383537 is a plasticizer-resistant nylon loop fastener sold in a 2-inch-wide by 50-yard roll. It is designed for hook-and-loop fastening applications where standard adhesives would degrade from plasticizer migration out of flexible substrates. The loop material bonds to surfaces using a plasticizer-resistant PSA acrylic adhesive carried on a clear 3.5 mil polyethylene film liner. Engaged thickness measures 3.1 mm. The adhesive system performs at medium temperature ranges and offers high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) bonding capability. Installation is performed by fabricators, assembly technicians, and maintenance trades working in commercial and industrial environments.
This loop fastener is intended for indoor use on surfaces including paint, bare metal, painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. It is well-suited for applications involving flexible vinyl or PVC components where plasticizer bleed-through would compromise a standard acrylic adhesive over time. The roll format supports high-volume cutting and application on an assembly line or in a field service setting. It mates with the 3M SJ3522 hook fastener to form a complete hook-and-loop pair.
Mates with the 3M SJ3522 hook fastener to form a complete hook-and-loop assembly. Designed for indoor applications on HSE and LSE surfaces where plasticizer-resistant adhesion is required.
Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive-backed loop tape; contaminants such as oil, dust, or moisture will reduce bond strength. Peel the polyethylene film liner and apply firm, even pressure across the full length of the tape to ensure full adhesive contact. This product is rated for indoor use only — do not expose to prolonged UV, outdoor weathering, or temperature extremes beyond medium-range service conditions. Cut to length using scissors or a straight-edge blade; no special tools are required.
