The 3M 7010382547 is a dual-lock reclosable fastener tape designed for secure, tool-free mechanical attachment across a wide range of trade and industrial applications. The fastener uses a general-purpose acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back of a black polypropylene mushroom-stem tape. With 250 stems per square inch and an engaged thickness of 0.23 inches, the interlocking stems create a firm, audible closure. The tape is rated for up to 1,000 open-and-close cycles, making it a reliable solution for panels, covers, and equipment access points that require repeated entry. High-temperature performance reaches 200 degrees F, supporting both indoor and outdoor installation environments.
This fastener tape is suited for mounting and securing applications in HVAC, electrical, and panel-assembly work where screws, rivets, or permanent adhesives are impractical. It bonds to metals including aluminum and stainless steel, glass, and high-surface-energy plastics such as acrylic, polycarbonate, and ABS. Typical uses include securing access panels, wire management covers, filter frames, and equipment enclosures. The roll format measures 1 inch wide by 50 yards, providing continuous length for job-site cutting to fit. The minimum order quantity is 6 rolls per order.
Designed for adhesion to metals (aluminum, stainless steel), glass, and high-surface-energy plastics including acrylic, polycarbonate, and ABS substrates. Not recommended for low-surface-energy plastics such as polyethylene or polypropylene without surface preparation.
Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive backing, as contamination will reduce bond strength. Apply firm, even pressure across the full tape length after positioning to ensure full adhesive contact. Allow adequate dwell time per the adhesive manufacturer guidelines before loading the joint. No special tools are required for installation or removal of the fastener tape itself, but surface prep materials such as isopropyl alcohol are typically used prior to application.
