The 3M 7010374600 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape that uses a 300 high strength acrylic adhesive system carried on a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. This tape delivers high initial adhesion and aggressive tack, making it well suited for bonding similar and dissimilar materials in demanding assembly and fabrication applications. The transparent adhesive transfers cleanly from the liner to the substrate, leaving no carrier film behind. Installation is typically performed by assembly technicians, fabricators, or maintenance tradespeople working with thin-bond lamination or splicing tasks.
The 7010374600 is used across a broad range of general-purpose bonding applications where a thin, high-tack adhesive layer is required. Common uses include splicing films, foils, and fabrics, as well as laminating foams, photographs, fabrics, and metal or plastic nameplates. It performs on both high surface energy (HSE) substrates such as metals and glass and low surface energy (LSE) substrates such as polyethylene and polypropylene. This roll measures 1.75 inches wide and 60 yards long, providing a practical length for production or fieldwork.
Designed for bonding a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials including films, foils, fabrics, foams, photos, and metal or plastic nameplates on both HSE and LSE surfaces.
Surface preparation is critical before applying any pressure-sensitive adhesive transfer tape — clean substrates thoroughly to remove dust, oil, and moisture. Apply firm, even pressure across the bond area using a roller or squeegee to ensure full adhesive contact. Remove the kraft paper liner carefully at a consistent angle to avoid stretching or misaligning the adhesive film during transfer. Allow adequate dwell time at room temperature before subjecting the bond to stress loads.
