The 3M 7010374058 is a conformable, double-sided, pressure-sensitive closed-cell acrylic foam tape designed for demanding bonding applications. At 45 mil thick, it delivers a high-strength, permanent bond to high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass, and many plastics. The black PE film liner protects the adhesive during handling and is removed prior to application. Built-in cushioning and damping properties make it well suited for assemblies subject to vibration, impact, or thermal cycling. Plasticizer resistance extends service life in applications where PVC or similar materials are present. UL listing 746C supports use in component applications requiring recognized flame ratings.
This tape is used across commercial and industrial installation scenarios including panel bonding, trim attachment, signage mounting, and equipment assembly. It is a common choice for HVAC fabricators, electrical enclosure builders, and general contractors who need a structural-grade adhesive alternative to mechanical fasteners. The 1-inch width and 36-yard roll length suit continuous production runs or repeated field cuts. It performs in both indoor and outdoor environments where surface prep and firm application pressure can be maintained.
Designed for bonding high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass, and compatible plastics in commercial and industrial assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical — clean bonding surfaces thoroughly to remove oils, dust, and loose material before application. Apply firm, even pressure across the full tape area to activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive and ensure full contact. Allow adequate dwell time before loading the bond. No tools or power sources need to be shut down for tape application, but follow all applicable site safety requirements when working in electrical or mechanical enclosures.
