Product Description

The 3M 7010372838 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape using 300 high strength acrylic adhesive carried on a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. The tape is transparent and supplied in a 0.75 inch wide by 180 yard roll. It is designed for high tack, thin bonding applications across a broad range of substrates, including both high surface energy and low surface energy materials. Installers and fabricators use it wherever an aggressive adhesive with strong initial tack and good UV and chemical resistance is required. It carries UL approval and meets US government specification MIL-P-19834B, Amendment 1.

This transfer tape is suited for general purpose laminating and splicing work in light industrial, fabrication, and finishing environments. Typical applications include splicing films, foils, and fabrics, as well as laminating foams, photos, metal nameplates, and plastic nameplates. It performs on dissimilar materials where other lower-tack tapes fail to hold. It is the thicker counterpart to the 3M 927 tape and is appropriate when added adhesive thickness is needed for gap-filling or conformability on textured surfaces.

Installation Notes
