The 3M 7010372834 is an adhesive transfer tape built on 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 350, designed for industrial and commercial bonding applications. At 5.0 mils thick, the adhesive layer delivers reliable adhesion to both high and low surface energy substrates, including powder coated paints. The tape ships on a tan 58 lb. PCK polycoated kraft paper liner that provides moisture resistance and minimizes wrinkles during handling. The adhesive is fiber reinforced for roll stability in narrow widths and resists oozing during storage and use. This roll measures 36 inches wide by 60 yards long and is available in a transparent finish.
This transfer tape suits bonding applications across manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication environments where durable, long-term adhesion is required. It performs well on rougher surfaces and on materials with varying surface energy levels. The tape is rated for short-term temperature exposure up to 450 degrees F and long-term continuous exposure up to 300 degrees F, making it suitable for applications near heat sources or in thermally demanding environments. Industrial assemblers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
Designed for bonding high and low surface energy materials including powder coated paints and rougher surface substrates in industrial and commercial assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical — clean and dry all bonding surfaces before application to achieve full adhesive contact. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape after positioning to maximize bond strength. In high-temperature environments, allow the bond to fully dwell before applying thermal load. Installers should consult applicable workplace safety guidelines when working with adhesive tapes in confined or low-ventilation spaces.
