The 3M 7010372152 is a 5.0 mil adhesive transfer tape built around a 300 high-strength acrylic adhesive carried on a 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. The tape delivers aggressive initial tack and strong long-term adhesion across a broad range of substrates. It is transparent, rolls out at 4 inches wide by 60 yards long, and is designed for high-volume bonding and laminating applications in industrial, commercial, and light manufacturing environments. Technicians and fabricators working with film, foil, foam, fabric, or rigid nameplates reach for this tape when a thin, high-tack bond line is required without the bulk of a foam carrier.
This tape is suited for general-purpose transfer bonding wherever a clean, thin adhesive layer is preferred. Common applications include splicing films and foils, laminating photos, bonding fabric, and mounting metal or plastic nameplates. It performs on both high surface energy and low surface energy materials, making it a reliable choice when joining dissimilar substrates. It serves as a thicker-construction alternative to the 3M 927 tape and is appropriate for industrial assembly lines, print finishing, sign making, and similar trades requiring a consistent, repositionable-free permanent bond.
Designed for bonding similar and dissimilar materials including films, foils, fabrics, foams, photos, and metal or plastic nameplates across general industrial and commercial laminating applications.
Surface preparation is critical — substrates should be clean, dry, and free of oils or dust before application. Apply firm, even pressure across the full bond area to ensure full adhesive contact. Remove the kraft paper liner carefully at a consistent angle to avoid stretching the adhesive layer. Once applied, this is a permanent-bond tape and is not designed for removal or repositioning.
