The 3M 7010372137 is the Scotch ATG 976 Adhesive Transfer Tape, a pressure-sensitive film adhesive designed for bonding materials that have glossy or difficult-to-adhere coatings. The tape delivers high initial adhesion with a low-profile bond line, making it suitable where bulk or visible adhesive is not acceptable. It is reverse wound on a 1-inch diameter core for direct use in Scotch ATG applicator guns. The adhesive provides very good chemical and moisture resistance along with medium-high UV resistance, supporting use in demanding bonding environments. Installers and fabricators in sign-making, display, packaging, and assembly operations are the primary users.
This tape is suited for bonding foams, plastics, and other substrates with low surface energy, including ABS, acrylic, polypropylene, and polyethylene. It functions as a clean, low-profile alternative to staples, liquid adhesives, and glue guns. Applications include laminating, mounting, and splicing operations in both light industrial and commercial settings where a reliable, solvent- and humidity-resistant bond is required.
Designed for use with Scotch ATG applicator guns that accept rolls wound on a 1-inch diameter core. Compatible with glossy-coated, foam, and low-surface-energy plastic substrates including ABS, acrylic, polypropylene, and polyethylene.
Load the roll into a compatible Scotch ATG applicator gun before use, following the applicator manufacturer's loading instructions. Ensure substrate surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before applying tape for maximum bond strength. Apply firm pressure across the bonded area immediately after contact to activate the adhesive. Avoid stretching the tape during application, as this can reduce bond performance.
