The 3M 7010368543 is a 12-inch non-woven nylon abrasive disc engineered for light deburring, surface cleaning, and final finishing on metal workpieces. Built with high-strength non-woven nylon construction, the disc resists tearing and fraying during edgework and on irregular surfaces. Aluminum oxide mineral provides a sharp, consistent cut and produces a uniform scratch pattern across ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The open web design is load-resistant, shedding debris to prevent clogging and extend service life. This disc is rated Very Fine (VFN), the least aggressive of three available grades, making it well suited for final-finish and polishing passes where surface quality is the priority.
This disc is used in metal fabrication, maintenance, and finishing applications where a controlled, smear-free surface finish is required. The dense, stiff construction holds up under high pressure without folding, which improves productivity during sustained use. Typical install scenarios include hand-held or machine-mounted disc work on sheet metal, structural components, and machined parts. Installation and operation of abrasive discs should be performed by qualified personnel following applicable shop safety protocols. Before mounting, power down and lock out the drive tool or machine per standard lockout/tagout procedures. Confirm the backing pad diameter and arbor size match the disc before use. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the disc or the drive tool.
