The 3M 7010368498 is a Standard Abrasives Surface Conditioning RC Disc engineered for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing applications on composites and soft metals. Built on a resilient RC (rapid change) non-woven substrate, this 7-inch disc delivers high initial cut rate and sustained cutting performance throughout its service life. The aluminum oxide abrasive mineral provides consistent material removal at a rated maximum speed of 6000 RPM. Its flexible, durable construction allows the disc to conform to surface contours while maintaining aggressive edge performance. Metal fabricators, aerospace technicians, and finishing trades install this disc in angle grinder and right-angle tool setups where controlled surface preparation is required.
This disc is suited for flat surface work on composites and soft metals in both production and maintenance environments. Typical applications include coating removal, surface blending prior to paint or primer, and light deburring of machined or formed parts. The hook-and-loop attachment system allows for fast disc changes without tools, reducing downtime during high-cycle finishing operations. It is graded Very Fine, making it appropriate for final-pass finishing rather than heavy stock removal.
