The 3M 7010368298 is an extra-hard density unitized abrasive wheel engineered for aggressive edge deburring and surface finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Built on a non-woven aluminum oxide construction, this 900 Series wheel delivers the highest density and edge durability in the Standard Abrasives Unitized Wheels line. At 2 inches in diameter, it mounts via a unitized wheel mandrel (sold separately) and suits die grinders and similar rotary tools used in fabrication and finishing work. The wheel runs clockwise and counterclockwise, adding flexibility across tool types and machine setups.
This wheel is suited for heavy-duty deburring, edge blending, and polishing tasks on harder metals including aluminum, steel, and other ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. It is a step up in density and aggressiveness from 800 Series Unitized Wheels, making it the appropriate choice when lighter wheels leave burrs or fail to hold up under extended use. Typical applications include metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments where consistent edge finishing is required.
Designed for use with standard unitized wheel mandrels on die grinders and rotary tools that accept 2-inch center-hole unitized wheels. Mandrel sold separately.
Installation is performed by securing the wheel onto a compatible unitized wheel mandrel per the mandrel manufacturer's instructions. Verify the tool's maximum RPM rating meets or exceeds the wheel's rated speed before operation. Ensure the work area is clear and appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and face protection, is worn during use. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and do not operate a damaged or visibly worn wheel.
