The 3M 7010367674 is a fast-cure, polyurethane-based marine adhesive sealant designed for permanent, waterproof bonding and sealing in marine environments. It delivers an extremely strong bond that retains full strength above and below the waterline, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate structural movement caused by shock, vibration, swelling, and shrinking. Packaged in a 1 oz tube, it is suited for marine maintenance professionals and experienced boat builders who need a reliable, all-condition sealant. The cured material resists weathering and saltwater exposure and will not sag or flow in vertical or horizontal seams.
This sealant is engineered for demanding marine bonding and sealing applications. Typical uses include fiberglass deck to fiberglass hull joints, wood to fiberglass bonds, porthole and deck fitting installation, motor mounting on fiberglass transoms, under moldings, hull seams above and below the waterline, centerboard trunk joints, strut-to-planking connections, stern joints, and deck housing seals. The fast-cure formulation is applied with a manual caulking gun and remains workable with a trowel or spatula for up to four hours after application, giving installers adequate time to fit and adjust components before the material sets.
Designed for bonding and sealing fiberglass to fiberglass, wood to fiberglass, and related marine substrate combinations; suitable for use on hull seams, deck fittings, portholes, transoms, and structural joints in both above-waterline and below-waterline applications.
Application should be performed by a qualified marine technician or experienced boat builder familiar with polyurethane sealant handling. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of oil, wax, and loose material before application. Apply using a manual caulking gun and tool the sealant into the joint within the four-hour working window. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection, when handling uncured polyurethane adhesive sealants.
