The 3M 7010367145 is a non-woven surface conditioning abrasive belt designed for one-step workpiece preparation ahead of final finishes and coatings. Built on FE material with an Aluminum Oxide abrasive, this belt delivers high initial cut rates and extended cut performance under high contact pressure. At 158 inches long and 6 inches wide, it is sized for industrial belt finishing equipment used in metalworking shops and fabrication environments. Licensed trade professionals and industrial finishing technicians rely on this belt for deburring, blending, and edgework where consistent stock removal and long belt life are priorities.
This belt is engineered for ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. Its open-web, non-woven construction responds to surface irregularities, reducing the risk of gouging the workpiece during aggressive material removal. The FE backing provides the edge durability and flexibility needed for demanding edgework passes and flat-surface conditioning runs. It is suitable for low-stretch applications where belt dimensional stability is required throughout the service cycle.
Designed for use on belt finishing equipment accommodating a 158-inch by 6-inch non-woven abrasive belt, commonly used in ferrous metal fabrication, stainless steel finishing, and high-alloy surface conditioning applications.
Belt installation and replacement should be performed by qualified shop personnel with equipment powered down and locked out per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Verify belt tracking and tension settings on the finishing machine before resuming operation. Inspect the belt and machine guards before each use and replace the belt if tears, delamination, or uneven wear are observed.
