The 3M 7010367099 is a Silicon Carbide 700 Series Unitized Wheel designed for tough finishing work on hard metals and composites. This non-woven abrasive wheel features medium to hard density construction, giving it increased edge durability compared to lighter-density alternatives. It is suited for achieving fine finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including exotic metals such as titanium. The open web construction resists loading, which extends service life in production finishing environments. Fabricators, metalworkers, and maintenance technicians typically install and operate this wheel on angle grinders and bench tools using a compatible unitized wheel mandrel, sold separately.
This wheel fits applications where consistent surface finish on hard metals is required, including weld blending, deburring, and surface preparation on titanium, stainless steel, and composite materials. It is equally suited for light industrial production lines and job-shop finishing operations. The wheel runs in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, allowing it to be used across a wider range of tool configurations and hand orientations without repositioning.
Designed as a center-hole unitized abrasive wheel for use with a compatible unitized wheel mandrel on angle grinders and similar rotary finishing tools. This wheel is the 700 Series, offering harder density than the 600 Series Unitized Wheels.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Confirm the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the maximum RPM marked on the wheel before mounting. Power down and disconnect the tool from its power source before attaching or removing the wheel from the mandrel. Always use the appropriate mandrel size and ensure the wheel is fully seated and secured before operation, and confirm the guard is in place per applicable ANSI abrasive safety standards.
