The 3M 7010367088 is a 700 Series Silicon Carbide Unitized Wheel designed for precision finishing on hard metals and exotic materials. Built with medium to hard density non-woven construction, this wheel delivers increased edge durability compared to softer series wheels, making it well suited for demanding surface finishing applications where consistency and long service life matter. The open web design resists loading, helping technicians maintain cut rate and finish quality through extended use. Fabricators, metalworkers, and finishing specialists install this wheel on angle grinders or die grinders using a compatible unitized wheel mandrel, sold separately.
This wheel is sized at 3 inches in diameter and is appropriate for use on ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, exotic alloys including titanium, and composite materials. The fine grade silicon carbide mineral makes it a strong choice for achieving fine surface finishes without aggressive stock removal. Typical applications include deburring, blending, and finish work in metal fabrication, aerospace component finishing, and general industrial surface conditioning. The wheel operates clockwise and counterclockwise, providing flexibility in tool orientation and setup.
Designed for use with standard unitized wheel mandrels on angle grinders and die grinders. This wheel is part of the 700 Series lineup and offers harder density construction than 600 Series Unitized Wheels. Mandrel is sold separately and must be matched to the 3 inch center hole diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified fabricator or industrial equipment operator following all applicable tool manufacturer guidelines and workplace safety standards. Disconnect and de-energize the tool before mounting or removing the wheel. Verify mandrel compatibility and ensure all hardware is securely tightened before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and do not exceed the rated RPM of the wheel or the tool.
