The 3M 7010366598 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for industrial surface finishing applications. Built on a durable cloth and polyester scrim backing, it delivers moderate stretch resistance suited for controlled finishing sequences. The non-woven nylon fiber construction allows the belt to finish surfaces while maintaining part geometry, and the open web design resists loading to extend abrasive service life. At 75 inches long and 37 inches wide, this belt is sized for wide-format belt grinding and finishing equipment. It uses aluminum oxide (AO) mineral bonded with resin, making it appropriate for work on stainless steel, brass, and similar substrates. Licensed tradespeople and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers and operators.
This belt is used in metal fabrication, weld blending, and surface preparation workflows where cutting aggressively without marring the workpiece is required. Its moderate strength positions it in the middle of the Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt line, making it versatile across multiple steps in a finishing sequence. Typical applications include deburring, blending, and finishing on flat or contoured metal surfaces in both production and maintenance environments. It is sold individually (each) with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed for use on wide-format belt finishing and surface conditioning machines that accept non-woven abrasive belts. Consult machine manufacturer specifications to confirm belt dimensions and drive compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator or industrial maintenance technician familiar with belt finishing equipment. Power down and lock out the machine before removing the old belt or installing a new one, following LOTO procedures per applicable OSHA standards. Verify belt tracking and tension according to the equipment manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or damage before each use.
