The 3M 7010366277 is a Scotch-Brite surface conditioning belt designed for demanding finishing and blending work across a wide range of metal surfaces. Built with a nonwoven open-web construction and reinforced scrim backing, this belt handles tasks including blending, deburring edges, contour finishing, flat finishing, and stainless steel grain setting. The aluminum oxide abrasive is bonded with resin throughout the nonwoven material, providing consistent cut and finish results throughout the belt's service life. At 60 inches long and 8 inches wide, it fits wide-belt finishing machines used in fabrication and metalworking shops.
This belt is well suited for robotic and automated processing lines where conformability to complex part geometry is critical. It also performs effectively in manual and semi-automated applications, including blending weld seams, removing grind lines, and achieving straight-line brushed finishes on stainless steel and other metals. Industrial fabricators, sheet metal shops, and maintenance technicians working on metal components are the primary users of this belt.
Designed for use on wide-belt finishing machines and automated or robotic surface conditioning systems that accept 60-inch by 8-inch belts. Suitable for use on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other common metal substrates.
Installation and belt changes should be performed by a qualified operator following the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lock out the finishing machine before replacing the belt. Verify belt tracking and tension according to machine specifications before resuming operation. Follow applicable shop safety protocols including use of appropriate respiratory protection and eye protection when running surface conditioning operations.
