The 3M 7010366190 is a 4-inch hook and loop abrasive disc designed for surface preparation, blending, and finishing applications in trade and industrial environments. Built with a non-woven silicon carbide construction, this disc carries a very coarse grade rating and is rated to a maximum of 8,000 RPM. The flexible disc body conforms to irregular surfaces, making it well suited for contoured or curved workpieces. It attaches via hook and loop backing for fast disc changes without tools. Licensed tradespeople in metalworking, HVAC fabrication, and general maintenance will find this disc effective for aggressive material removal and surface prep tasks.
This disc is used in applications requiring fast stock removal or surface conditioning on metal, fiberglass, and composite materials. The silicon carbide abrasive cuts aggressively on harder surfaces and is a common choice for deburring, weld blending, and pre-finishing work. The non-woven construction resists loading, which extends usable disc life in demanding shop and field conditions. No vacuum holes are included, so it is compatible with standard backup pads that do not require dust extraction ports.
Designed for use with standard 4-inch hook and loop backup pads. No vacuum holes are present, so the disc requires a solid or non-perforated backup pad for proper attachment and use.
This disc is installed and operated by machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians using angle grinders or dedicated disc sanders equipped with a hook and loop backup pad. Before mounting, confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 8,000 RPM maximum rating of the disc. Inspect the disc and backup pad for damage before each use and ensure the hook and loop surfaces are clean and free of debris for secure attachment. Follow ANSI B7.1 and tool manufacturer guidelines for abrasive disc mounting and guard requirements.
