Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive mineral and a resin bond on a scrim-reinforced nonwoven open web backing, this belt measures 72 inches in length and 1 inch in width. The nonwoven construction reduces heat build-up and loading during use, which extends operating life and helps maintain consistent surface conditioning results. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication trades as well as industrial maintenance technicians commonly use this belt for stainless steel finishing, grain setting, and contour work on complex or irregularly shaped parts.
This belt is suited for use in robotic processing and handheld belt grinder applications where conformability to contours and edges is required. It handles a range of detail tasks including blending corners, cleaning, fine finishing, flat finishing, deburring edges, and producing straightline-brushed finishes.
