The 3M 7010365315 Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Film Backed Belt is a non-woven abrasive belt designed for cleaning, finishing, blending, and deburring on metal and fabricated surfaces. The belt uses an aluminum oxide mineral bonded with resin and carried on a smooth, tough, stretch-resistant nylon film backing. At 300 inches long and 3 inches wide, it is sized for industrial stroke sanders and wide-belt finishing machines. Fabricators, metalworkers, and finishing technicians use this belt where consistent surface conditioning and reduced back-side friction are both required.
This belt is suited for production environments handling light deburring, weld blending, and surface prep on flat or contoured metal workpieces. The nylon film backing performs especially well on stroke sanders and platen-style machines where reduced friction on the back of the belt matters for feed rate and heat control. Open fiber construction allows swarf and debris to escape during use, extending cut life across repeated passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard consumable for industrial stroke sanders, wide-belt finishing machines, and platen-style abrasive systems requiring a 300 inch by 3 inch non-woven film backed belt.
Installation is typically performed by a machine operator or maintenance technician following the equipment manufacturer's belt-change procedure. Power down and lockout the machine before removing or installing any abrasive belt. Confirm belt tracking and tension settings match the machine's specifications for non-woven film backed belts before resuming operation. Do not exceed the machine's rated surface speed for the belt width and length in use.
