The 3M 7010365300 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Low Stretch Belt designed for controlled material finishing on a wide range of metal and composite substrates. Built on a durable polyester scrim backing, this non-woven belt delivers moderate flexibility combined with enough structural integrity for low-stretch belt grinder applications. The open web construction resists loading, extending usable abrasive life. At 84 inches long and 4 inches wide, it fits standard wide-belt and stroke-sander configurations common in metal fabrication and surface prep work. Aluminum oxide mineral with resin bond provides consistent cut and finish throughout the belt's life.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing sequences where the goal is consistent surface conditioning without aggressive stock removal or substrate marring. Typical applications include blending welds, removing mill scale, and preparing stainless steel, brass, and similar metal surfaces for subsequent finishing steps. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, industrial maintenance environments, and metal service centers. Operators working through a multi-step finishing sequence will find this belt appropriate for the transitional stages between coarse grinding and fine polishing.
Designed as a replacement or production-run belt for wide-belt sanders and stroke sanders that accept 84-inch by 4-inch non-woven surface conditioning belts.
Installation should be performed by qualified metalworking or maintenance personnel. Power down and lock out the sander before changing belts. Verify belt tracking alignment and tension before resuming operation. Do not exceed the machine manufacturer's rated speed for non-woven belts.
