The 3M 7010365289 Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt is a nonwoven abrasive belt built for detail surface work across a broad range of metals. Measuring 60 inches in length and 9 inches in width, it uses an aluminum oxide (AO) grain bonded with resin and reinforced with a scrim backing. The open-web nonwoven construction resists loading and reduces heat build-up, allowing extended run time while delivering consistent surface conditioning results. Industrial finishing professionals and fabrication shops install this belt on wide-belt and specialty abrasive belt machines for high-throughput surface work.
This belt is suited for blending, blending corners, cleaning, contour finishing, deburring, deburring edges, fine finishing, flat finishing, setting the grain, stainless steel finishing, and producing straightline-brushed finishes. The conformable nonwoven structure keeps the abrasive in continuous contact with complex-shaped parts, making it a practical choice for robotic and automated processing environments as well as manual bench operations. It is effective on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal substrates where surface marks, grind lines, and mill scale must be removed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit consumable for wide-belt abrasive machines and specialty belt finishing equipment that accept a 60-inch by 9-inch belt format.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator following the machine manufacturer's guidelines and all applicable safety procedures. Power down and lockout the machine before changing belts. Inspect the belt for tears or damage before mounting, and verify correct tracking tension per the equipment manufacturer's specification before resuming operation.
