The 3M 7010365088 Scotch-Brite MF-WL Metal Finishing Wheel is a convolute abrasive wheel engineered to deliver consistent brushed, satin, and mill finishes on metal surfaces. Built on an open-web construction wound around a fiber core, it runs cool and resists loading during extended use. At 6 inches in diameter and rated medium grit with an aluminum oxide abrasive, this wheel is well-suited for surface blending, finish matching, and contour finishing on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and similar metals. It is installed and used by metal fabricators, plumbers, and finishing technicians working on both flat and irregular surface profiles.
This wheel is commonly applied in shop and field finishing work where uniform surface texture is required. Typical applications include blending 3 or 4 mill finishes on stainless steel, creating brushed or satin finishes on cutlery, appliance trim, builders hardware, and plumbing fixtures. Its highly conformable construction allows it to follow contoured and irregular surface geometries without gouging or undercutting the base material. It performs on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals.
Designed for use on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and other metals where brushed, satin, or mill surface finishes are required. Suitable for use on cutlery, appliance trim, builders hardware, and plumbing fixtures.
This wheel is mounted to a compatible arbor on a bench grinder, angle grinder, or finishing machine by a qualified operator. Verify that the spindle speed of the drive tool does not exceed the maximum rated RPM of the wheel before mounting. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and never operate a cracked or deformed wheel. Appropriate eye protection, face shield, and respiratory protection should be worn during operation in accordance with applicable safety standards.
